Folded Reliefs

The Aluminum reliefs have been designed using Rhino CAD.

A creative dialogue develops during the initial stages, between the hand made paper prototypes and the computer generated paper printouts.

The final designs are made from a single 2 or 5 mil aluminum sheet, with a CNC cutting machine.

The reliefs cast real shadows, react to the light and to our movement.

They engage directly with the wall in a way that the tinting of the walls and the creation of lighter and darker areas, are all integral part of the work.
